At Lightfield Press, we believe books can do more than sit on shelves. They can open conversations, offer comfort, encourage self-trust, spark imagination, and remind us that we are not alone.

Lightfield Gives grew from a simple idea: when we have an opportunity to place our books into the hands of children, families, and communities who might benefit from them. Sometimes that may mean donating books to schools, libraries, shelters, literacy programs, children's organizations, or community programs. Sometimes it may simply mean putting the right book into the right hands at the right moment.

Where It Began

Lightfield Gives began with 30 copies of The Kingdom of Me: A Gentle Story on Being the Boss of You.

The books arrived with an imperfect cover alignment. They couldn't be sold as the beautiful, finished books they were intended to be, but inside, every word, illustration, and message was exactly as it should be. And so, rather than seeing 30 imperfect books, we saw 30 stories waiting for a home.

Those first books became the beginning of Lightfield Gives.

Thirty Books. Thirty Little Kingdoms.

Our first 30 books are being shared with organizations and communities where they can be read, loved, and passed from one child to another. Because a book doesn't have to be perfect to make a difference. And neither do we.

Sometimes the unexpected becomes the invitation.
